The RIFL Act Advocacy Day
The RIFL Act is landmark legislation that aligns the financial interests of gun manufacturers with prevention. Its passage would make Illinois the first state in the nation to require firearm manufacturers to share the public costs that their products generate with taxpayers — while directly supporting survivors and community violence intervention efforts that are already saving lives across the country.
This is a crucial moment for this effort! Showing up matters. On May 26th, we need to send a resounding message to our state legislature that taxpayers and victims won't foot the bill for gun injuries any longer!
RSVP TODAY and SAVE-THE-DATE BELOW:
When: Tuesday, May 26
Where: Illinois State Capitol Steps by the Lincoln Statue Springfield, Illinois
Let’s make history in Springfield!
Gun violence is the #1 killer of children and teens in America. Illinois has a chance to lead the nation. For too long, gun manufacturers have profited while our communities pay the price. It’s time to change the equation.
The RIFL Act (HB3320/SB2279) ensures that manufacturers share the public costs their products generate, aligning their bottom line with safety and prevention.
Help Illinois lead the nation in gun violence reduction. Join the RIFL Act Coalition on May 26 to advocate for the RIFL Act.
Transportation is available and lunch is included!

Rosie Cares District 111: Socks for Tots Fundraiser
The Rosie Cares District 111 campaign introduces Rosie's Socks for Tots Fundraiser, running from November 1 through December 31, 2025. This initiative, in partnership with Next Step Forward and Brand New Village, aims to provide warmth and dignity to children in need during the winter season while advancing Rosie Brown's platform of community care, education, and neighborhood revitalization.
Why It Matters
Every child deserves warm socks during cold months. This initiative reflects Rosie’s commitment to meeting essential needs as a foundation for learning, opportunity, and unity. It aligns with Rosie’s broader vision: reviving the American Dream and restoring democracy through community-driven action. Rosie’s Socks for Tots is more than a holiday drive, it’s a movement of care and community solidarity.
