Rosie Brown at the No Kings Protest
Title: Rosie Brown Stands for Democracy at Granite City and Edwardsville No Kings Protest
Today, I joined thousands across the nation in the No Kings Protest, a peaceful demonstration affirming that America rejects authoritarianism in all forms. From Granite City’s Bellmore Village to Edwardsville City Park, WE stood shoulder-to-shoulder with neighbors, reminding us that leadership is service—not power.
The message was clear:
“Our democracy works when we work together. No crowns, no thrones—just communities united for justice, dignity, and opportunity.”
This moment reflects my lifelong commitment to community-first leadership. As a mother, grandmother, and foster parent to nearly 200 children, I have always believed in lifting others up, whether through the Socks for Tots initiative, our fight for clean water and safe neighborhoods, or the Each One Teach One education model that empowers families beyond the classroom.
Our platform for Illinois State Representative District 111 is rooted in these same values:
Safety & Gun Violence Prevention
Affordable Housing & Infrastructure
Economic Opportunity for Small Businesses
Education & Mentorship
Mental Health & Senior Supports
My presence at the No Kings Protest wasn’t about party lines, it was about principles. Whether you’re Republican, Democrat, Independent, or simply an American who values freedom, I stand today saying:
“Authoritarianism has no home here. Unity and justice do.”
